Cucurella sends message to Maresca following Chelsea departure
Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has responded to the club’s decision to part ways with head coach Enzo Maresca.
The west London side dismissed the Italian manager ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City, bringing an end to his 18 month spell at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella took to social media to acknowledge Maresca’s time at the club, offering his appreciation to both the former coach and his backroom staff. The Spain international thanked them for their work and support since his arrival under Maresca.
In a message shared on X, Cucurella wrote that he was grateful for the trust shown from the very beginning and the memories created during their time together. He also wished Maresca success in his future career, describing him as a boss and sending his best wishes for the next chapter.
